Butch ruled out of Wallabies showdown 8/31/2010 - 12:08:00 PM Bath fly-half Butch James is a notable absentee from the South Africa bench for this weekend's Tri Nations encounter against Australia in Bloemfontein. The 40-cap Springbok was one of three players who sustained injuries after the 44-31 win over the Wallabies last Saturday. Jannie du Plessis and Flip van der Merwe were also carrying knocks, although James was reportedly the biggest concern for the world champions. Prop Du Plessis has been named in the starting line-up by coach Peter de Villiers, while lock Van der Merwe has to make do with a place on the bench with veteran Blue Bull Danie Rossouw given preference. It is the only change to the starting line-up, while James’ place amongst the replacements goes to Gio Aplon.
