Guildford and Mathewson get All Black call-ups

Winger Zac Guildford and half-back Alby Mathewson have been called into the New Zealand squad as cover ahead of Saturday's second Tri Nations Test against South Africa in Wellington.

Richard Kahui injured his right shoulder when he fell awkwardly during Saturday's first Test success after coming on as a replacement for Joe Rokocoko - who himself suffered a hamstring strain.

Jimmy Cowan also has an abdominal strain, prompting All Blacks coach Graham Henry to look to Guildford and Mathewson.

Henry explained: "Richard will have further medical tests on his shoulder this week to assess the seriousness of the injury but he will definitely be unavailable for the second Test.

"Also, with the injuries to Joe and Jimmy, we thought it prudent to bring in Zac and Alby as cover."
