Trains to cease on south-east line 9/3/2010 - 4:06:10 PM Plans to cease passenger trains in the south-east, on the Rosslare to Waterford line, have been approved by the National Transport Authority (NTA). The NTA said the current service was not viable, with fewer than 50 passengers using the service each way. Conditions have been attached to the decision, including the provision of 80 weekly round bus trips between Rosslare and Waterford with fares to be maintained at the same levels for the displaced rail passengers. |
